Get to know Eric St. Jean, Network Support Specialist at Big Network. Learn about his journey, his role in supporting our customers, and his passion for technology and outdoor adventures.
Hi, I am Eric St. Jean. I am a Network Support Specialist here at Big Network. I just graduated from Plymouth State University last year with a degree in computer science. While studying, I worked in classroom IT as well as managing WPCR, the radio station there. I have always had a love for tech in general, so Big Network is a good fit for me. Despite how that may sound, I also love spending time outdoors. I have worked at the wonderful Camp Mi-Te-Na for many years as a camp counselor and senior staff member, where I enjoy running the ropes course and making fires that are too big. When I'm not busy with work, you can find me hiking, camping, playing games on my computer, or tinkering with my HiFi setup.
I joined Big Network to get more experience and to learn more about networking. Since starting here, my understanding of modern networking has changed fundamentally thanks to the team's guidance and teachings. In my previous IT jobs, we were always desperately trying to squeeze just a little more life out of devices that were often older than me. Now, it feels real good to work on the cutting edge.
As a Network Support Specialist, my primary responsibility is monitoring customer networks and rendering assistance in times of need. I also help with odds and ends around the office, and work on labs and POCs.
I am located in Hooksett New Hampshire, and I come in to work in the office in Nashua, NH.
